Waterjet cut parts

In the waterjet cutting process, the plastic sheets are cut by a jet of high pressure water. The jet reaches a pressure of up to 6000 bar. Despite this high level of pressure, the plastic barely heats up and there are no deformations or micro-cracks in the cutting range. 2D geometries can be cut cost-effectively using a waterjet with a 0.3 mm diameter.

Applicable plastics:

  • Thermoplastics with or without reinforcing materials
  • Thermosets including composites
  • Hard and soft polyurethanes

Tolerances:

  • Mould tolerance: +/- 0.1 mm
  • Position precision: +/- 0.1 mm
  • Surface roughness: up to N8/N9
  • Cutting angle error: 0 to 2°

Maximum thickness for thermoplastics, thermosets and elastomers: approx. 150 mm

We will gladly draw up an individual offer based on your enquiry.
